Numb

i feel so numb now, and i dunno why. nth seems to be able to affect my moods recently. and mood's perpetually stuck in sian mode. work's ultra boring. standing there and stoning for long hours. giving customers a plastic smile when they walk by, and "eagerly" asking if i could be of any assistance. this routine sucks, so no surprise everyone wants to quit. but i need a job, so i guess i'll stay on. everyone around me seems to be frantically trying to secure dates for v day this sat and asking me about my plans for saturday, but strangely enough, this year i dun really give a flying fuck about v day. to me it will be just another weekend where i'll be working too, so stop asking me if i have plans or whatever, its getting annoying. its not sour grapes or what, just that i agree with ann, v day's so commercialised now. each year when the month of february approaches everyone everywhere seems to be hopping on the valentine's day bandwagon. roses for sale, chocs for sale, vday dinners at restaurants at "special vday prices" blah blah blah. bah. sometimes i feel that v day's lost its true meaning already, with capitalism and money-driven retailers being the main culprits. so it doesn't really matter if u have a date or plans on that day or not actually. so, to all who have dates and plans for this sat, i say good for u. for those who're still trying to secure dates and making plans for v day, well good luck. there'll sure be someone who'll agree. and for those who're unattached and pretty much given up hope on securing a date for this sat, here's something inspirational for u. and for those who simply dun care too, i'll just say, have a wonderful weekend.
the tomorrow that comes may not be better, but a better tomorrow will surely come. yeah, what a load of bull.

everyday seems like valentine's day when i'm with u
