there was a girl, who loved playing with rubber balls. one day a rubber ball rolled to her feet and stopped there. but she kicked the ball away, for she already had a rubber ball to play with. the rubber ball rolled away, far far away, hit a wall and stopped. naturally the ball was very disappointed, but it decided to sit where it stopped and just looked towards the girl. after a long while, the girl started playing with the second ball, whenever she couldn't find the ball she owned. but after playing with the ball, she always left it where she first kicked it to, and never brought it home, for she was only allowed to own one ball. soon, she grew attached to the second ball, and she decided to keep it. so she threw away the ball she had and brought back the ball she had kicked away, picking it up where the ball still sat after it once stopped. needless to say, the ball was very happy, and they spent many happy days together. the ball was her constant companion, always there for her, and things went well. but soon after, the girl realised she wanted her old ball back. so she went to look for the ball she threw away. and after she found it, she whispered goodbye to the second ball and pushed it away once again. this time the ball rolled even further, and finally rolled to a stop, looking back to the girl once more. now the ball still sits where it stopped, just waiting for the girl to come by, and pick it up again, like she once did.
